  1. I agree with Mr. Gorman supporting local farmers is a great thing to do and it helps the economy out in a positive way.

  2. I love the farmer’s market! It’s a wonderful place to purchase great local foods. My kids also love the sights, sounds, and tastes of the market. 🙂

  3. The Athens Farmers market offers many seasonal items and the prices are very reasonable. The best Farmer’s Market around 🙂 Supporting local farmers really helps break the corperate reliance that most of us have sadly fallen into.

  4. Great Article! 🙂 inspiring! Eating healthy is so important for families. The Farmers Market is such a convenient way to make healthier food choices.

  5. Very good article, I think the Farmers Market is such a good way to support local farmers. I love going there so I can get all the healthy food I want.

  6. I havent been to this certain farmers market, but i;m sure i would enjoy it. I go to the Lancaster farmers market.

  7. I love the farmer’s market. I think it’s a great idea to support the local farmers. Fresh food is so much better for you instead of the chemically induced food that we usually eat.

  8. i have never been to the farmers market in athens….i am sure to make it a point to go there. i always go to the ones in vinton co and jackson co, but they are soo small… i love the fact that they (athens) still grow in winter. i agree we keep what produce and meats, that we can, locally.

  9. I think this was really very informative, I myself absolutely love fresh grown and fresh picked veggies. And you really can’t get them anywhere else but a farmers market, and i really was unaware so many veggies like squashed (my favorite) were fresh grown this time of year, very very good, thank you!
